The 2021 Fukuoka City Allergy Workshop was held on Monday, October 18, 2021, at Fukuoka City Higashi Ward Namiki Square. Co-organized by Fukuoka City and the Fukusou Project (Fukuoka University Research Branding Project), the workshop gathered 136 nursery teachers and nurses working at nursery schools. The participants sat at a distance from each other as a precaution against COVID-19.

In Part I, Dr. Yugo Nagayama of the Department of Pediatrics, Fukuoka University gave a talk titled "Understanding and dealing with food allergies in nursery schools (Epipen training)." In Part II, Professor Yumiko Miyagi of the School of Nursing, Faculty of Medicine, Fukuoka University gave a talk titled "Dealing with children with allergies in nursery schools." As many nursery school children have food allergies, the staff at nursery schools that serve meals need to be extra careful when preparing allergen-free meals and must always be prepared to deal with emergency situations. Therefore, in the area of "Life with Children," the branding project aims to update nursery teachers on the latest knowledge, techniques, and information so that children can live in safety and security.
