This year's last workshop for nursery teachers in Kitakyushu was held.
In this session, nursery teachers applied knowledge and skills they have acquired in a simulation training to learn how to stay calm and properly deal with sudden changes in children's conditions at their own facilities.
When unusual situations are created by sudden condition changes, such as convulsions and anaphylactic shock, some non-technical skills become very important, including judging the situation properly and coordinating among nursery school employees. This time, groups formed by each school conducted the simulation for pre-determined cases. In each case, the participants received comments about details they themselves did not recognize or learned new viewpoints. It was a very meaningful workshop.
